All curriculum used at UCA is Christian in orientation, and/or in harmony with Christian values and beliefs. We rely heavily on the Bob Jones curriculum, as well as selected materials that have been approved by the administration.
In the spring of each year, the Stanford Achievement Test (SAT) will be given to all students in K5 through the 11th grade. The PLAN and PSAT will be given to 9th and 11th grade students respectively, and all seniors will be required to take the ACT.
Report cards will be sent home with the students at the end of each nine weeks as indicated on the school calendar published at the beginning of each school year. Students have one week from date of issue to return report cards to their teacher. A parent or guardian must sign report cards.
UCA has two categories of students who are recognized for their academic achievements:
Principal's List: Students who make all A's
Honor Roll: Students who make all A's and B's
UCA seeks to emphasize learning for the sake of knowledge rather than making a particular grade. However, grades are required as a prerequisite to college entrance. The grades at UCA are defined as follows:
